Katie Paul, MD, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, has been appointed Associate Director of the Collaborative for Maternal and Infant Health (CMIH). Congratulations, Katie!

Jenny Bowles-White, MSN, PNP, NNP, was awarded the Carolina for the Kids Award for Excellence in Patient and Family-Centered Care. Congratulations Jenny!

Ahmad Sami, MD, Pediatric GI Fellow and Carolina Child Health Scholar, was awarded a Southern Society of Pediatric Research (SSPR) Young Investigator Award for basic research for his oral presentation titled, 鈥淯rolithin A attenuates inflammation and enhances intestinal barrier function in necrotizing enterocolitis.鈥�

Congratulations to Dr. Katherine Caid (Allergy/Immunology Fellow), Dr. Marielys Collazo-Roman (ID Fellow), and Dr. Paige Noreen (Pulmonology Fellow), who have been selected as our next group of Carolina Child Health Scholars!

Several pediatrics faculty were recently selected to receive 黑料网-Chapel Hill Junior Faculty Development Awards for 2025. The Junior Faculty Development Awards are funded by IBM and R. J. Reynolds Industries, Inc. This award grants $10,000 to support scholarly pursuits over one calendar year.
