Three researchers who are physicians with the ºÚÁÏÍø Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology, as well as staff members of the ºÚÁÏÍø Thurston Arthritis Research Center (TARC) have been recognized for outstanding patient care. Dr. Alfredo Rivadeneira, Dr. Maya Jerath and Dr. Bill Yount are recipients of the 2017 ºÚÁÏÍø Health Care and ºÚÁÏÍø Faculty Physicians Award for \u201cCarolina Care Excellence.\u201d<\/p>\n

A recent ºÚÁÏÍø survey asked patients if they would recommend their provider\u2019s office to their family and friends. More than 95% of the responding patients of these physicians indicated \u201cYes, definitely!,\u201d<\/i> which places the doctors in the top quartile nationally. In addition, Drs. Rivadeneira, Jerath and Yount are multi-year recipients of this award.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur team could not have won this award without the quality care provided by our outstanding front desk staff as well as our skilled and empathetic nursing staff,\u201d said Dr. Bill Yount, who has received the award for three consecutive years.<\/p>\n
