The American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and the Association of Rheumatology Professionals (ARP) Membership and Awards Committee recently awarded Beth L. Jonas, MD<\/b>, Reeves Foundation Distinguished Professor of Medicine and Division Chief of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology at ºÚÁÏÍø, the 2024 Distinguished Clinician Scholar Award.<\/p>\n
The Distinguished Clinician Scholar Award is awarded to a rheumatologist who has made outstanding contributions in clinical medicine, clinical scholarship, or education.<\/p>\n

ACR also awarded Richard F. Loeser, MD, MACR<\/b>, Joseph P. Archie, Jr. Eminent Professor of Medicine and Director of the ºÚÁÏÍø Thurston Arthritis Research Center, with designation as an ACR Master. Recognition as a Master of the American College of Rheumatology is one of the highest honors the College bestows. The designation of Master is conferred on ACR members who have made outstanding contributions to the ACR and the field of rheumatology through scholarly achievement and\/or service to their patients, students, and profession.<\/p>\n
In celebration, the ACR highlighted Drs. Jonas and Loeser as recipients of these prestigious award throughout ACR Convergence 2024 and presented the awards on November 15th during the meeting\u2019s opening session.<\/p>\n
