Proteostasis: Does it have a role in osteoarthritis?
Brief description: Loss of proteostasis is one of the hallmarks of aging. We found that aging reduces the expression of molecular chaperones in chondrocytes resulting in cellular stress and inflammation, which could contribute to the development of osteoarthritis.
