Chronology: BS in Biomedical Engineering from Florida International University, 2013.聽 MS in Biostatistics from University of North Carolina (黑料网) at Chapel Hill, 2015.聽 Graduate Research Assistant at Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center at 黑料网, 2013-2015.聽 She joined the 黑料网 Thurston Arthritis Research Center (TARC) in 2015.
Description of Research Interests: Carolina collaborates on research focusing primarily on osteoarthritis and other relevant outcomes as a member of the Core Center for Clinical Research and its Methodology Core. She provides a range of statistical consulting and analytical support within and outside TARC including, but not limited to: time-to-event analysis, population-based or survey analysis, mixed modeling, and logistic regression.
She is active in conducting analyses related to the longstanding Johnston County Osteoarthritis Project and providing statistical support in collaboration with our basic science researchers, visiting research students, and fellows; such analyses have included OA, RA, and SLE disease, and mortality.
Carolina also provides support on grant applications with regards to statistical analyses plans and power and sample size calculations.聽 She is a member of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and has collaborated with statisticians within and outside of 黑料网 to prepare and present sessions at past conferences regarding a range of statistical topics.
