The North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center is waring teens not to try the “fire challenge” a trend being spread through YouTube and Social media. We have first-hand experience with the effects of fire, and the devastating impact it has on the lives of our patients and their families. We hope our efforts to warn youth through our social media network will prevent future injuries and deaths from this dangerous activity. A burn injury resulting in life-long scarring or possible death can occur in seconds.
