The American Burn Association held its annual meeting in Boston, Massachusetts, March 25-28, 2014.
Julia Malik, PhD student in Microbiology and Immunology, presented four different posters at the ABA meeting in Boston. Her poster “Innate immune cell influx to alveolar space after infection correlates with increased pathogen clearance following burn injury” was awarded Best in Category on Thursday, March 27th. On Friday, March 28th, the same poster was awarded First Overall. Her mentors are Bruce A. Cairns, MD and Robert Maile, PhD. Congratulations Julia!
