Ernest Grant, RN, MSN, PhD (C), FAAN, has been named to the Board of Directors of the National Fire Protection Association. Grant is an outreach nurse in the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center.

On June 9, 2014, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) announced the re-election of officers and election of members to its Board of Directors at the 2014 NFPA Conference and Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ernest J. Grant, RN, MSN, PhD (C), FAAN, was elected as board chair. Grant previously served as first vice chair. He has been an outreach nurse clinician with the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center at ºÚÁÏÍø Hospitals for more than 23 years. He is a past president of the North Carolina Nurses Association. He received the B.T. Fowler Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2013 North Carolina Public Fire Educators conference.
