On Saturday, October 12, 2013, Dr. Bruce Cairns will receive the Edward Kidder Graham Award at University Day.
The recipient is recommended by the Committee on Honorary Degrees and Special Awards upon nomination of any member of the General Faculty. The committee’s recommendation is approved by the Faculty Council.
The Edward Kidder Graham Award was established in 2010 to recognize outstanding service by a member of the Voting Faculty of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The award calls to remembrance President Graham’s ambition to “to make the campus co-extensive with the boundaries of the State,” in the context of the University’s modern mission to extend knowledge-based service world-wide.
Congratulations Dr. Cairns, we the employees of the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center, salute you on a well deserved award!
