Dr. Seth Berkowitz will discuss his new book, Equal Care: Health Equity, Social Democracy, and the Egalitarian State.
A general internist and primary care doctor, Dr. Berkowitz will present on how social conditions and mechanisms link injustice to poor health. He’ll share what policies may be effective at achieving better systems to improve health for all. After the talk, attendees will dive deeper into the topic in smaller groups and have a chance to learn about one another’s work and practices.
