Dr. Yanping Zhang, Associate Professor in the Division of Cancer Biology, was awarded the prestigious 2010 Hyman L. Battle Distinguished Cancer Research Award
in recognition of his outstanding contributions to basic cancer research.
Hyman聽L. Battle (1896-1972) first established The Battle Foundation in 1946.聽聽Like his grandfather Kemp Plummer Battle, an early President of 黑料网-Chapel聽Hill,聽Hyman聽was deeply interested in education, and likewise became a leader of several聽academic聽institutions, including 黑料网-Chapel聽Hill.
