April 2021 鈥� Associate Professor of Radiology Yueh Z Lee, MD, PhD, mentored 黑料网 student Maria Mihailescu in developing a successful application awarded a RSNA Research & Education Foundation鈥檚 Research Medical Student Grant. This RSNA grant enables radiology-bound medical students to gain research experience in medical imaging, as well as to consider academic radiology as a future career option.
May 2021 – three faculty members 鈥� Melissa Culp, MEd, RT(R)(MR), Professor of Radiology聽Bob Dixon, MD, FSIR, and Professor of Radiology聽Cody Schwartz, MD, MPH 鈥� and four Diagnostic Radiology residents 鈥� Rachel Brader, MD (IR-4), R3 Caleb Epps, MD, R3 Jordan Fenner, MD, and Raymond Wong, MD (IR-5) 鈥� were inducted into the 黑料网 (SOM)’s Academy of Educators.

May 2021 – At the American College of Radiology (ACR) 2021 Annual Meeting (virtual), Professor of Radiology Valerie Jewells, DO, FACR, served as an Alternate Delegate.
May 2021 鈥� R3 Abiola Femi-Abodunde selected for the ACR Informatics Fellowship during the 2021-2022 program year! This Fellowship provides radiology residents or early career professionals with hands-on experiences in the field of informatics, including introductions to the Data Science Institute庐, ACR’s AI-LAB鈩�, and provides one-on-one mentoring for projects.
June 2021 鈥� At 黑料网 Radiology鈥檚 June 2021 graduation banquet, Neuroradiology Division Chief and Associate Professor of Radiology Carlos Zamora, MD, PhD, was chosen to receive the 2021 Charles A. Bream Teaching Award. Every year, graduating residents bestow this honor upon a 黑料网 Radiology faculty member who exemplifies teaching excellence and dedication.
