An active Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) member, he has coordinated many workshops and presented his IR research extensively at the SIR鈥檚 annual meeting. Regarding Dr. Burke鈥檚 appointment, Dr. Smith noted:

鈥淐harles brings a wealth of experience and institutional knowledge to this Executive Vice Chair position.
