About
Dr. Sultan Hubbard holds a Ph.D. in counseling psychology and specializes in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among perinatal, pediatric, civilian, and veteran populations. A typical clinical day for Dr. Hubbard involves use of evidence-based treatments such as behavioral, cognitive, and mindfulness-based therapies to treat PTSD, grief/ loss, emotional outbursts, suicidal thoughts, OCD, panic, depression, anxiety, and experiential avoidance among perinatal and pediatric populations. He also provides parenting skills training through therapeutic play for those having challenges bonding with their children or experiencing challenges decreasing behavioral and emotional issues in their children. Dr. Hubbard has a passion for working with diverse populations and has published research on the regulatory role of important dyadic relationships (e.g., mother, father, peer) on the racial identity, perceived support, and mental health of Black youth and adults.
