Idil Baran is a Research Assistant in the Child and Adolescent Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program (CHAAMP) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.听听

She received her B.S. in Psychology with honors with dual minors in neuroscience and philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.听

Idil鈥檚 primary interests include psychopathology, identifying risk factors and risk reduction, and stress and substance use research. Her interests specifically emphasize identifying populations of adolescents at a higher risk of stress related depression, anxiety, and substance use, in the hopes of increasing access to resources for at-risk youth. She hopes to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology.听听

As hobbies, Idil enjoys hiking, baking, and spending quality time with loved ones.听听
