Application Process
We are thrilled you are interested in the ºÚÁÏÍø Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship Program!
We accept applications from candidates who will beÌýÌýfor a residency training license in the state of North Carolina.Ìý Applicants must have completed an ACGME-accredited general psychiatry residency program.Ìý Applicants must be US citizens or have a permanent resident visa.
D.O. ApplicantsÌýare NOT required to submit USMLE scores in addition to their COMLEX scores.
IMG ApplicantsÌýare required to:
- have aÌýJ-1 visaÌý(ºÚÁÏÍø Health Care does not sponsor H-1B visas)
- hold aÌýcurrent ECFMG CertificateÌý(be certified by January 31st)
- obtain aÌýpassing USMLE scoreÌýin no more than two attempts
- have at leastÌýsix monthsÌýof U.S. clinical experience and not be away from medical school, externships, or active practice for more than five years
All applicants please submit the following materials:
- CV
- Personal statement
- Three LOR’s including one from PD
Additional information including medical school transcript, USMLE/COMLEX transcript, and copies of state medical license(s), DEA certificate andÌýboard certifications, when applicable will be requested prior to matriculation.
Offers for the fellowship are made on a rolling basis, and applications are accepted starting in Spring of the PGY-3 year.
