Dr. Amy Ursano, Fellowship Director

The mission of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training program is to educate the next generation of leaders in the field of child mental health. We anticipate that our graduates will pursue careers across the spectrum of clinical, teaching, and research settings.

黑料网 Child Psychiatry fellows train in a supervised and supportive environment. Our faculty members are approachable and readily available for mentorship, consultation, and research collaboration. Our training provides fellows with a balanced, broad-based biological, psychological, and social foundation in their approach to children and families with mental illness. We feel expertise in psychotherapy is essential to the practice of child and adolescent psychiatry. We provide three (3) hours of individual supervision a week to ensure this goal is met.

黑料网 Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship is a 2-year, ACGME-accredited program. Applicants come from all over the country with a variety of backgrounds and interests for five positions available each year on a competitive basis. Residents may apply as early as the fall of their PGY-3 year to 鈥渇ast track鈥 into child psychiatry fellowship.

I was very excited to stay at 黑料网 due to the exceptional faculty mentorship and opportunities to continue to grow as a clinician. I was grateful to Dr. Meltzer Brody, Dr. McClure and Dr. Poulos in creating a role that allows me to work with our Interventional Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry teams. My dream is that in the years to come we will be able to further bridge these two specialties and expand our toolbox in the treatment of adolescents. – Dr. Nick DePriest, CAP Fellowship Alumni and Assistant Professor
