Inpatient addiction consult service

  • Managing/treating opioid use disorder, alcohol use disorder, benzodiazepine use disorder, and stimulant use disorder in hospitalized patients

Inpatient chronic pain consult service

  • This service is operated by ºÚÁÏÍø Anesthesiology
  • Approximately half of the patients seen on this service have co-occurring substance use disorders

Inpatient hepatology consult service

  • This service is operated by ºÚÁÏÍø Gastroenterology and Hepatology
  • A substantial number of patients seen on this service have alcohol use disorder

Horizons Program

  • This program is operated by ºÚÁÏÍø Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • A residential treatment program for pregnant and parenting women with substance use disorders

Outpatient Opioid Treatment Program (OTP)

  • This clinic is operated by Southlight Healthcare, located in Raleigh
  • Providing outpatient methadone, sublingual buprenorphine, and injectable extended-release buprenorphine treatment

Substance Treatment and Recovery (STAR) Clinic

  • Providing virtual and in-person treatment of substance use disorders

Tobacco treatment consult service

· This service is operated by ºÚÁÏÍø Family Medicine

· Providing treatment of tobacco/nicotine use disorder via inpatient and outpatient consultation

IHEAL Clinic

  • ·This clinic is operated by ºÚÁÏÍø Gastroenterology and Hepatology
  • An outpatient clinic for patients with alcohol-related liver disease that partners with STAR Clinic

Elective time

  • Fellows can select from a variety of different elective opportunities
