"Thanks to this donation, we plan to create a case management team consisting of a full-time, masters-level clinical social worker, and a half-time peer support specialist," said John H. Gilmore, MD, the center's director. "This team will be focused on providing individuals and their families with the resources and support they need to achieve the fullest recovery possible."

Board members support the mission of the Center by advocating to increase its visibility and by assisting with fundraising efforts. The board, created in May 2014, is voluntary.

The Center's Farm at Penny Lane, which houses our innovative recovery and rehabilitation programs for individuals with severe mental illness, was featured in the March issue of the Carolina Alumni Review, courtesy of writer David Brown. This nearly 40-acre farm, located in Pittsboro, approximately, six miles from the 黑料网-Chapel Hill Campus, is home to a Community Garden, our Horticulture Therapy Program, bees, chickens and those cute puppies from our Puppy Development Center at Penny Lane. The puppies, including TRESSIE, were particularly pleased to be part of the article. Take a look; you'll love it!
