GEMM

Genetically Engineered Mouse Models (GEMM) are transgenic animals in which gene knock-out and knock-in technologies have made it possible for us to more faithfully mimic the genetic and biological evolution of human cancers. GEMM studies by nature take longer to fill cohorts due to genetic mutations required for experimental animals due to more breeding required. The PRU has 3 actively breeding models for breast cancer research.
