{"id":2282,"date":"2007-12-12T20:10:00","date_gmt":"2007-12-13T01:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/planning\/planning\/"},"modified":"2021-03-30T11:25:49","modified_gmt":"2021-03-30T15:25:49","slug":"planning","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/planning\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome to the School of Medicine Planning Office Website"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Welcome to the School of Medicine Planning Office<\/h1>\n<p><em>The Planning Office supports the School of Medicine (SOM) and its mission through the planning, design, construction, and management of facilities that house faculty, staff and programs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Our responsibilities include:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>House all research laboratories, educational spaces, clinical research facilities and faculty and staff work spaces<\/li>\n<li>Oversee management of properties owned and leased by SOM, its departments and centers<\/li>\n<li>Plan and manage all SOM construction, renovation and projects<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate efforts with related ºÚÁÏÍø, hospital and healthcare system offices and government agencies<\/li>\n<li>Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state and federal agencies and accrediting institutions<\/li>\n<li>Manage building use:\n<ul>\n<li>security, ID badges, access control and key management, camera monitoring system<\/li>\n<li>lobbies and other common areas<\/li>\n<li>space requests, assignments, occupancy inventory<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Maintain master floor plans and space database in collaboration with ºÚÁÏÍø Facilities Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Answer building-related questions (or refer to appropriate resources)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to the School of Medicine Planning Office The Planning Office supports the School of Medicine (SOM) and its mission through the planning, design, construction, and management of facilities that house faculty, staff and programs.
