ICCCB 1st and 2nd place poster awards won by Yan Fu (Jones and Elston labs) and Matthew Pena (Elston lab)
Dr. Yan Fu (Alan Jones and Tim Elston’s Labs) received the “Best Poster Award” at the 2013 International Conference on Computational Cell Biology held August 14-16th in Blacksburg Virginia. Dr. Fu described how cells can use both the dose and the duration of a signal to control cell behavior.
Dr. Mathew Pena (Tim Elston and Beverly Errede’s labs) received runner up for the “Best Poster Award” at the 2013 International Conference on Computational Cell Biology held August 14-16th in Blacksburg, Virginia. Dr. Pena’s poster described how coupling periodic stimulation regiments with live-cell imaging in microfluidic chambers can be used to develop predictive models of signaling pathways.
