Kimberly Maxfield successfully defended her PhD thesis July 20, 2015. Our congratulations to Kim!

The title of Kim’s thesis is “Genetic Dissection of Therapeutic Intervention Targets in Triple Negative Breast Cancer.”
Kim and her advisor, Angelique Whitehurst, flew in from Dallas TX for the event (Whitehurst relocated her lab there in 2013). Her parents, Myles and Linda Maxfield, flew in from Granite Bay California, and her best friend, Emily Todd, came from DC to be her supporters.
Kim’s plans for the future include applying for science policy fellowships in the DC area. We wish Kim the best with all her future endeavors!
