“Throughout the course of the year, our reporters and editors work with hundreds of local executives on stories, blogs, pictures, graphics, slideshows and Triangle Business Journal signature events鈥� 听听Our Business Person of the Year, Jude Samulski, co-founder of Research Triangle Park-based Askpelios BioPharmaceutical, also known as AskBio, was a late addition. AskBio鈥檚 . But we had to look deeper into what was going to become one of the听. As we started digging more, we found out how Samulski got started with AskBio,听听even when things were not looking so great.听Couple that with Samulski鈥檚 charitable work and the immense implication to the entire genetics industry and the choice in the end was unanimous.听Our final meeting was the most efficient, as we went around the table listening to the amazing accomplishments of our finalists and were left with the impression that the Triangle is fortunate to have so many capable leaders.听We cannot wait to track and report Samulski鈥檚 research and the听听in the field of gene therapy.
