
John Bauman, a member of Dr. Ryszard Kole’s lab, successfully defended his thesis and received his Ph.D. Dec. 6, 2010. The title of John’s thesis was “Modification of Bcl-x and Mcl-1 pre-mRNA splicing using splice-switching oligonucleotide.”
Congratulations, John! Way to go!
John is looking at a variety of possibilities for post graduate work: as a postdoc, at a venture capitol enterprise and as a science writer. Whichever path you choose, we wish you the best in all your future endeavors, John!
Update: John has accepted a position as a Scientist with Synereca Pharmaceuticals in Chapel Hill, NC.
