Receives award for second year in a row

Dr. Barry Goz, a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, has been awarded the Best 2nd Year Instructor Award by the ºÚÁÏÍø School of Dentistry for the second year in a row! This is the fifth award Dr. Goz has won in the twelve years he has directed the Basic Pharmacology course for second year dental students.
Dr. Goz received the award at the annual Spurgeon Dinner of the Dental School held at the Friday Center on April 6, 2011. The dinner is held each year to honor individual faculty and students.
The dental students greatly appreciate Dr. Goz’ teaching style, which includes a printed syllabus, generous use of the white board, lots of explanations, and a good amount of jokes interspersed throughout. Basic pharmacology can be a difficult course and Dr. Goz does a good job of both clarifying a tough subject and keeping students awake and engaged. Congratulations to Dr. Goz! Thanks for being such a great teacher!
