Our congratulations to you, Juanita! We appreciated your contributions greatly!
ÌýOn many occasions Juanita has helped me to understand and navigate the needs of our diverse (in every sense of the word) student body and to be proactive in fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. By way of example, Juanita approached me and other department leaders about developing a protocol for assisting students with mental health issues and how to respond in a crisis situation. She not only volunteered to help, but has provided research literature and ideas for the department mental health website.Juanita is a role model for her fellow students as well as faculty who strive to become better mentors in the laboratory and in the classroom. Juanita has made ºÚÁÏÍø a better place to be a graduate student, and she is most deserving of this recognition. ~Dr. Henrik Dohlman, ChairÌý
