Pharmacology celebrated PharmFest! at the start of the Fall semester!  Everyone had a great time!

Congratulations to Jasmine Scott and Veronica Samojedny who won 1st and 2nd Place Overall Poster Awards in the Summer Undergraduate Program Symposium! Everyone gave wonderful talks and poster presentations!

The technique, dubbed VEGAS and created in the lab of Bryan L. Roth, works in mammalian cells and can yield useful new molecules within days, providing scientists with a powerful new research tool and a potential route to better therapeutics for various diseases.

Our Carolina Summer Fellows gave their final presentations Tuesday.  Our congratulations to all the students on completing the program!

Pharmacology (PHCO) and Genetics (GNET) teams had a lot of fun battling it out for the trophy for the very first Battle of the Science Stars on June 13.  Genetics battled hard, but in the end, PHCO won the event.

The ºÚÁÏÍø-Chapel Hill Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research announced the 2019 Creativity Hubs Awards to accelerate solutions to societal challenges. Hub team members include Lee Graves, John Sondek and Shawn Gomez.

Reid Olsen, graduate student in Bryan Roth's lab, successfully defended his PhD June 7, 2019. Congratulations, Reid!

Wesley Legant, PhD, assistant professor in the departments of Pharmacology and Biomedical Engineering, earned this prestigious early career award for his work developing new fluorescence microscopes for rapid three-dimensional imaging.
