Well wishers are welcome to attend the finals of the 黑料网 Graduate School’s Three Minute Thesis competition in Bondurant Hall G100 Tuesday October 30 @ 4:00 pm. There are ten finalists in all including three that are are from 黑料网 departments: Alex Chung in pharmacology, and Susanna Harris and Bhawana Shrestha in microbiology and immunology.
The is an academic competition that assists current graduate students with fostering effective presentation and communication skills. Participants have just three minutes to explain the breadth and significance of their research project to a non-specialist audience.
3MT was developed by The University of Queensland in 2008 and is now held in more than 600 universities in 65 countries around the world.
An 80,000 word PhD thesis would take 9 hours to present. Their time limit… 3 minutes.
Master鈥檚 and Doctoral students enrolled at 黑料网 from any discipline administered by The Graduate School were welcome to register and participate in the competition. All are welcome to serve as audience members throughout the competition.
