Transforming care and inspiring hope for all children.

To promote the health of all children in an inclusive, equitable culture through compassionate, family-centered care, tireless advocacy, scientific discovery, and education of future leaders.

James Emonson was a patient at 黑料网 Children’s who passed away in the hospital in May 200 from an infectious complication of his immune deficiency. His parents and four grandparents from England were all in attendance. The Emonson family, with support from family, friends, and the Caterpillar industry, where both parents are engineers, funded the Emonson Educational Fund. Money the Emonsons had set aside for James’ future education was a part of their gift to 黑料网. The Emonson Awards, established in 2006, annually recognize the nurse, resident, and faculty member who best represent the mission and spirit of the Children’s Hospital. The Lectureship was established later and focuses on highlighting the professionalism in children’s care they witnessed daily among everyone who helped care for James. Drs. Fred Henderson and Jake Lohr were two original physicians heavily involved in James’ care. The approach to thoughtful, interdisciplinary care that the family recognized then continues at 黑料网 to this day.

Our Mission:
