About
Leigh Anne Weisenfeld joined the Muenzer MPS Center in the fall of 2023 as the primary Neurocognitive Assessment Clinician. After graduating from ºÚÁÏÍø-Chapel Hill with a double major in Psychology and Sociology, Leigh Anne pursued a graduate degree in Social Work at ºÚÁÏÍø, focusing on the health and mental health of children and adolescents. Leigh Anne’s career as a neurocognitive assessment clinician has allowed her to engage with individuals with varying diagnoses, including MPS disorders, Fragile X Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Angelman Syndrome, and autism spectrum disorders. With over 20 years of experience working with infants and children with this wide range of diagnoses, Leigh Anne brings her expertise in development, behaviors, and assessment strategies to the Muenzer MPS team.
Leigh Anne lives in Hillsborough with her husband and two teenage children, as well as two sweet dogs and two lovable cats. When she’s not working, you can usually find Leigh Anne spending time with her family, enjoying time outdoors, watching college basketball, or reading a good book.
