Clinic Consultation Services & Appointments
The Muenzer MPS Center provides comprehensive evaluations and expert guidance for families affected by MPS across the United States, with clinic visits available for patients in North Carolina. Our mission is to support both families and their local healthcare providers through specialized consultations with our multidisciplinary team. We believe every family deserves access to expert care, even when specialized MPS expertise isn’t available in their community. By bridging the gap between specialized MPS care and local healthcare services, we strive to enhance the quality of life for individuals with MPS through ongoing support, education, and coordinated care.
To meet these needs, we offer in-person clinic visits that include evaluations by experienced geneticists and advanced practice providers. Genetic counseling and comprehensive developmental or neurocognitive assessments are available when needed. During visits, we review current standard-of-care guidelines and provide personalized management recommendations. We also offer updates on the latest clinical trial opportunities and research advancements. For patients receiving treatment, the center has pediatric-friendly infusion rooms and a team of specially trained nurses and providers to administer therapies.
Our commitment is to empower families and local healthcare providers with the knowledge, resources, and confidence to manage MPS care effectively, regardless of location or stage in the MPS journey. Our team remains a long-term resource, fostering collaborative relationships with families and their medical teams to ensure seamless care and ongoing support.
