Ray received his PhD in Physiology from the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University and did his post doctoral work at Duke University.
He joined the Gentzsch lab in 2023 and is an expert in electrophysiology utilizing Ussing chambers, patch-clamp and ion-selective electrodes to study ion channel physiology/pharmacology.
