Retina & Vitreo-Retinal Surgery<\/a> Education<\/strong><\/p>\n Medical School<\/strong> Internship<\/strong> Residency<\/strong> Fellowship<\/strong> Dr. Alice Zhang is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a board-certified ophthalmologist.\u00a0 She earned her medical doctorate at McGill University, one of the top medical schools in Canada. She completed residency in ophthalmology at the McGill University Health Center and served as Chief Resident. She distinguished herself by winning academic achievement, surgical skills, research, and teaching awards. Additionally, she led the development of the McGill-Lions Club annual eye screening community outreach program.\u00a0 Post-residency, Dr. Zhang successfully completed a medical and surgical retina fellowship at the prestigious Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, where she trained with world-renowned retina specialists.<\/p>\n Dr. Zhang has published manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters on a variety of topics including telemedicine, retinal detachment, ocular melanoma, and ocular inflammatory diseases.\u00a0 Her clinical interests include the surgical and medical management of retinal diseases including retinal detachment, macular puckers and macular holes, as well as diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n To schedule a consultation with Dr. Zhang, call 黑料网 Kittner Eye Center<\/strong> in Chapel Hill, please call 984-974-2020<\/strong>.
