RALEIGH, N.C. 鈥� Jan. 24, 2020 鈥� is expanding the care and services available for children in Wake County, with a new 黑料网 Children鈥檚 Raleigh outpatient clinic and a new pediatrics wing at . The two new initiatives are part of 黑料网 Health’s broader effort to enhance care for younger patients and improve access to care for kids in Wake County and beyond.

As part of the expansion, 黑料网 pediatric neurosurgery services will now be available in Raleigh. Pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Scott Elton will now see patients at the 黑料网 Children鈥檚 Raleigh clinic on select weekdays. Dr. Elton is the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at 黑料网 Health. 黑料网 Children鈥檚 Raleigh
is now open. It offers easy access to a wide range of outpatient pediatric specialties, including allergy and immunology, behavioral health, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology-oncology, neurology, neurosurgery, pulmonology, and more. The medical building also includes laboratory and pharmacy. An urgent care clinic dedicated exclusively to children is also open on the first floor. Each floor reflects different regions of North Carolina, with bright colors and images from the coast, Piedmont, and mountain areas.
黑料网 Children鈥檚 Raleigh is located at 2801 Blue Ridge Road in Raleigh, across the street from the main 黑料网 REX Hospital campus. Parking is free.
黑料网 REX Hospital Inpatient Pediatrics Unit
Located on the 7th聽floor of 黑料网 REX Hospital, the new inpatient pediatrics wing will allow more children to receive a higher level of care closer to home. The 10-bed unit will be run with help from a team of Pediatric Hospitalists from the 黑料网 Children鈥檚. Previously, many pediatric patients would have needed to be transferred to 黑料网 Medical Center or another hospital. The new inpatient unit allows for seamless care for our patients between 黑料网 Children鈥檚 and 黑料网 REX.
The wing features bright colors and every room includes an animal theme for easy identification. The wing includes a play space for children and respite area for parents. The new pediatrics inpatient unit at 黑料网 REX opened for patients on Jan. 21, 2020. Learn more about .
