CHAPEL HILL, N.C.聽鈥� 黑料网 Health Care is pleased to announce that five of its hospitals 鈥撀�Nash 黑料网 Health Care, Pardee 黑料网 Health Care, 黑料网 Hospitals, 黑料网 REX Healthcare听补苍诲听Wayne 黑料网 Health Care聽鈥撀� have聽received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association鈥檚 Get With The Guidelines庐-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award.
In addition, a sixth 黑料网 Health Care Hospital 鈥撀�黑料网 Lenoir Health Care聽鈥� received the Get With The Guidelines庐-Stroke Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award. These awards recognizes the hospitals鈥� commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines founded on the latest scientific evidence.
The six hospitals earned these awards by meeting specific quality achievement measures for the diagnosis and treatment of stroke patients at a set level for a designated period. These measures include evaluation of the proper use of medications and other stroke treatments aligned with the most up-to-date, evidence-based guidelines with the goal of speeding recovery and reducing death and disability for stroke patients.聽Before discharge, patients should also receive education on managing their health, get a follow-up visit scheduled, as well as other care transition interventions.

In addition, five 黑料网 Health Care hospitals received Target: Stroke Honor Roll Awards.
黑料网 Hospitals聽received the association鈥檚 highest recognition – Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus award. To qualify for this recognition, hospitals must meet quality measures developed to reduce the time between the patient鈥檚 arrival at the hospital and treatment with the clot-buster tissue plasminogen activator, or聽, the only drug approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to treat聽.
黑料网 REX Healthcare聽received the Target: Stroke Elite award, while聽Nash 黑料网 Health Care, 黑料网 Lenoir Health Care听补苍诲听Wayne 黑料网 Health Care聽received the Target: Stroke award.
