Pediatric and neonatal neurocritical care; resting state functional MRI
About
My approach to clinical care is based on assessing for potential for improvement and cure. Advanced diagnostics and treatments offer the potential for better outcomes, beyond what our expectations would be otherwise. Careful consideration of the family and patient’s wishes to consider such an approach with responsible integration into care can offer reasonable hope.
Research Focus
Resting-state fMRI in epilepsy for localization of seizure onset zones for epilepsy surgery evaluation, which correlates with intracranial EEG and seizure outcomes. Also resting state fMRI in coma to detect covert consciousness and predict outcome.
