Leyla grew up in Charleston, West Virginia and graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2024, where she studied Neuroscience and Poverty and Human Capability Studies. She joined the NCTU as a Clinical Research Coordinator in July 2024. She primarily works on neurocritical trials investigating TBI, stroke, and seizure networks. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, walking, cooking, traveling, and spending time with loved ones and animals.
