Areas of Interest
Dr. Saylor's clinical interests include neuro-infectious diseases, especially neurological complications of HIV infection, and neuroimmunological disorders such as multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica, and neurosarcoidosis. In addition, she is an expert in global neurology and has dedicated a significant portion of her career to improving neurological care in resource-limited settings globally. Â
About
Dr Saylor has a deep passion and commitment to reducing disparities in access to quality neurological care for underserved populations around the world and improving neurology training in regions with few neurologists. Currently, Dr. Saylor spends a significant amount of time in Zambia, where she has led the development of Zambia’s first neurology residency program, neurology inpatient unit, and stroke unit. Her research focuses on understanding the epidemiology of neurological disorders and using implementation science and quality improvement strategies to optimize and improve neurological care in resource-limited settings, particularly across Africa.
