Student Interest Group In Neurology

The Student Interest Group in Neurology (SIGN) unites over 150 medical school chapters in the U.S. and Canada, serving as a platform for students to delve into neurology. 黑料网 Neurology’s SIGN program fosters exploration through clinical experiences, research, and community service, aiming to enhance understanding of the nervous system and encourage engagement with the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) as a potential career pathway.

Shadowing a Neurologist

Any individual interested in shadowing a neurologist at 黑料网 must first follow the instructions listed on the 黑料网 Volunteer Services website to obtain a shadowing badge:

  • To shadow on the inpatient side, please reach out to Dr. Michael Wang聽to schedule a date to shadow. At this time, a shadow visitor can only spend one day per calendar year to shadow the inpatient neurology team.
  • To shadow on the outpatient side, one must first find a preceptor who is willing to supervise the shadow visitor. 黑料网 Volunteer Services has implemented a form on its website that the preceptor needs to fill out ahead of time.

  • NEUR 412: Acting Internship in Neurology; course director: Neurology Clerkship Director
  • NEUR 410: Pediatric Neurology; course director: Dr. Nathaniel Wooten
  • NEUR 408: Neurons to Networks, Foundation Phase; course director: Neurocritical Care Clerkship Director
  • NEUR 430: Telemedicine Basics in Neurological Practice (special permission course); course director: Dr. Ana Felix
  • NEUR 432: Longitudinal Telemedicine Elective in Neurological Care (special permission course); course director: Dr. Ana Felix
  • NEUR 404: Adult Neurology Outpatient Elective (special permission course – the prerequisite of completing NEUR 412 or NEUR 410); course director: Neurology Clerkship Director
