Patients diagnosed with neuromuscular disorders who need team-based care from physicians across Health, can be seen in our Pediatric Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) clinic.

In this clinic patients will be cared for by a team of treatment providers that will help patients get stronger with exercises, find equipment to help them move and do daily tasks, get help with school and family issues, get medicine if needed, and see other doctors if they need extra care. This team includes:

  • Pediatric Neurologist
  • Pediatric Physiatrist
  • Physical Therapist
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Orthotist (a medical professional that deals with braces, splints, and other external supports for the body)
  • Mobility Equipment representative
  • Social Worker
