- Assistant Professor of Neurology – Neurogenetics
- Certified Genetic Counselor
My goal as a genetic counselor is to help individuals and their families understand their symptoms of disease, work to establish a diagnosis, and increase their understanding of hereditary neurological conditions. My approach to genetic counseling is to provide education on genetic concepts and risk assessment for personalized, informed decision-making. The decision to see a genetic counselor and the genetic testing process for individuals and their families can be complicated and emotional. I strive to help patients and their families feel comfortable and safe in their decisions and understanding while providing compassionate care and support throughout the process.
