Microbiology and Immunology Retreat 2025
Members from the Prem lab attended a retreat organized by the Department of Microbiology and Immunology in March of 2025. Edwing participated in poster presenting the research work conducted on humoral response acquired by hybrid immunity from RBD vaccination against Sarbecoviruses in children. The poster was granted first place.
Virology In Progress Meeting 2024
Izabella attended VIP meeting and presented her research work at Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at ºÚÁÏÍø Chapel Hill in January 2024. Her research focus was on utilizing multiplex immunoassay to measure seroprevalence and serosurveillance of Chikungunya, Dengue, and Zika viruses.
Virology In Progress (VIP) Meeting 2023
Edwing presented his research work in the Virology in Progress meeting at ºÚÁÏÍø Chapel Hill in October 2023. He evaluated paired samples in a bead based multiplex assay to determine both previous and current infection of Dengue and Zika viruses.
Seronet Investigators Meeting 2023
Prem, Edwing, and Izabella attended the 2nd Annual SeroNet Investigator’s Meeting on March 21st-23rd in Washington, D.C. Prem was invited to present the lab’s research, and the presentation was titled Longitudinal Analysis of Humoral and Cellular Immune Response Following SARS-CoV-2 Vaccination Supports Utilizing Point-of-Care Tests to Enhance COVID-19 Booster Update.
