Gabriela passed her Ph.D. Defense, titled: “Noninvasive ARFI Ultrasound for Differentiating Carotid Plaque with High Stroke Risk”, on April 9, 2021, under the mentorship of Caterina Gallippi, Ph.D. Her committee members were Gianmarco Pinton, Ph.D. (Chair), Xiaoning Jiang, Ph.D., Mark A. Farber, M.D., and Jonathon W. Homeister, M.D., Ph.D. Gabriela has also accepted an offer from Siemens Healthineers for the position of Senior Ultrasound Systems Engineer, which she will start next month. Congratulations to Gabriela Torres, a graduate research assistant, who received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, currently in Dr. Gallippi’s Lab, for successfully defending Ph.D. thesis.
