Congratulations to , a graduate student and research assistant in the , for the receipt of P&F award from the ºÚÁÏÍø NORC and SPLENDOR-NC Program.
Her proposal, titled, “Clathrin alternative splicing regulation of mitochondria function in skeletal muscle”, is a 1-year grant. SPLENDOR-NC draws upon well-established collaborations through their NIDDK-funded ºÚÁÏÍø Nutrition Obesity Research Center and their NIDDK-funded North Carolina Diabetes Research Center. They leverage the strong partnerships between Duke University, North Carolina A&T State University, North Carolina Central University, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Wake Forest University, and Winston-Salem State University, and to facilitate the success of diverse faculty engaged in research in the fields of nutrition, obesity, and diabetes.
