Kaitlyn Santineau, MD
About
Kaitlyn is from Austin and attended Abilene Christian University and now is couples matching with her prior lab partner from freshman year! Kaitlyn was initially interested in Ophthalmology but was swayed to medicine where she is now interested in ID or critical care medicine. Kaitlyn has been actively involved in multiple service and leadership roles, including serving as co-founder and co-president of the Short Coats in the Village program which connects medical students to people with intellectual disabilities. She has also served as the secretary for the school’s student government, a board member for the Dean’s contingency fund, and is a frequent volunteer with the free Ophthalmology clinic. In recognition of her volunteer work, she will graduate with a distinction in Care for the Underserved. In addition, in recognition of her outstanding academic performance and clinical work, she has been inducted into both the AOA and Gold Humanism Honor Societies
