Eric Stoutenburg, MD, PhD
About
Eric is from New York and graduated from Niagara University with a degree in biochemistry prior to pursuing a PhD from the University of Rochester. Eric鈥檚 PhD work focused on the total synthesis of a compound targeted as a novel anti-inflammatory agent. After his PhD, Eric worked as a Chemist with Novomer in Rochester for three years before deciding to apply to medical school. He has continued with an interest in research at UVM, working to identify risk factors for racial disparities in patients with hypertension. Eric enjoys woodworking and coaching his son鈥檚 soccer teams and is looking forward to moving to North Carolina with his wife and children!
