Lindsay Wilson, MD, MPHLindsay Wilson, MD, MPH, the John W. Foust Medical Alumni Distinguished Teaching Professor, is the Division of Geriatric Medicine’s newest Associate Professor.

She recently received the Foundation Phase Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award, recognizing a faculty member from the Foundation Phase curriculum who significantly contributed to the education of Foundation Phase students through their energy, dedication, and extraordinarily excellent teaching.

“During these challenging times, I am especially grateful for the opportunity to work with our fantastic medical students,” said Wilson. “Teaching the next generation of physicians, particularly in how to best care for our older patients, brings me tremendous joy. I love watching my learners grow and develop into doctors – their dedication, passion, and determination inspire me. I learn as much (if not more!) from them as they do from me, and I truly feel honored to be a part of their lives and educational journey.”

Wilson is the current President of ºÚÁÏÍø Academy of Educators. In May, she also received the ºÚÁÏÍø Academy of Educators (AOE) Foundation Phase Teaching Excellence Award for significantly influencing courses in the Foundation Phase, based on teaching contributions and student evaluations from the class of 2022.

Wilson joined the Division in 2013, after completing a Research Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at ºÚÁÏÍø and receiving a Master of Public Health in 2012, also from ºÚÁÏÍø.
