“It’s sort of an in-between condition,” says Kirkman in the article. “It’s considered a precursor to type 2 diabetes.”
Kirkman is professor of medicine in the division of endocrinology and metabolism, and medical director of the ºÚÁÏÍø Diabetes Care Center’s Clinical Trials Unit.
