Edward P Browne, PhD, received a:
- R61 grant  from the NIDA to examine the impact of cannabinoids in HIV infected humanized mice. This is a five year, $3,465,157 grant.
- R21 grant from the NIAID to examine post therapy changes in CD4 T cells by single cell RNA sequencing. This award is $427,625.
Nicholas Piazza, MD, received a $350,351 grant to introduce a hospital based inpatient screening program for both HIV and HCV according to USPSTF guidelines. This project will also establish a linkage to care pathway for patients who test positive.
Division of Hematology
Jonathan Serody, MD, was awarded an NIH NCI IM-TAG T32 which will fund two postdoctoral fellows working in tumor or transplant immunotherapy specific to cancer.
Division of Oncology
Katherine E. Reeder-Hayes, MD, MBA, and was awarded a 5 year, $1.2M, team science grant from the American Cancer Society. She will study, “Geographic Small Area Estimation of Cancer Screening Rates: Precision Approaches to Inform Screening Equity, Outreach and Interventions.”
Emily Ray, MD, MPH, received a K08 Career Development Award for her project “Evaluation of advance care planning and implementation of a tool to predict near-term death among patients with metastatic breast cancer.”
